MVP Can't Connect with GB-PVR

I'm trying to run GB-PVR over MediaMVP and I'm having two problems (perhaps related).

First, GB-PVR runs fine on its own. When I change config and set it to run as a server with MVP (1 auto), I can no longer launch GB-PVR. It starts to launch then immediately exits back to desktop. I do not have the Hauppauge software installed (removed it) and I have MCE services disabled too.

Second issue: MVP cannot find the client without the Hauppauge software installed. With the Hauppauge software installed, it connects fine but with the Hauppauge gui (I am trying to get the GB-PVR user interface to come up). When I remove the Hauppauge software, the MVP says it cannot find my computer and I get the error: "No streaming server found."

If I put the Hauppauge software back on and uncheck server from the configuration in GB-PVR, GB-PVR launches fine and MVP finds my computer (but using its own user interface).

Logs are attached. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, typing it up helped me to figure it out. I just had to uncheck "client" on the config page and auto start 1 mvp. Once I made that change, the MVP loaded the GB-PVR software and everything works.

I've got the same problem described by this thread, re the FAQ:

I've got the autostart setting to 1, but can't find the controls to prevent the MediaMVP services from starting. I've looked on the tabs of the GBPVR config utility and on Settings page of the MediaMVP gui. Can someone point me at this control?

You can either manually stop the Hauppauge service by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Hauppauge MediaMVP -> Stop, o permanently stop them by clicking Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services then setting the two MediaMVP service to 'manual startup'.

I had thought I had deinstalled MediaMVP prior to GBPVR's install, so just wasn't think XP's services.
