I've just made some changes for the next release that might help. I also added some additional diagnostic messages to give a reason if it still has problems doing this EPG update.

I don't know if I'm alone here, but I'm still having this problem (machine wakes for ~9-10 minutes and then goes back to standby without the EPG getting updated). I've been manually starting the EPG update process for months now. It would be really nice to get the automatic feature working again.

I'm running v0.99.5, but still no joy!?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't know if this is anything to do with it or not (probably not!) but....
I use xmltv to get my EPG and use Windows scheduler to get it (and import to gbpvr later on). I have it set to grab it at 02:55 and 02:57. The first is to wake the machine up out of hibernate and the network is working fine for pinging something by ip number, but DNS requests fail. The second grab works fine.

I've not spent a lot of time trying to find where the problem lies as yet.

It looks like it is successfully managing to wake the machine up and initiate the EPG update, but it eventually times out. I suspect you machine is going back to sleep before zap2it has a chance to return all your listings.

You'll probably find reducing the number of channels or days of listings will help. This will reduce the time required to download the listings, making it less likely to go back to sleep while retrieving the listings.

Okay, Sub. I'll cut back the number of days and see what happens.

I guess you could also increase the time-before-goto-sleep in windows-config-energy-settings.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
