I can't get live TV to work

Everything's working great apart from live TV. I can record and play back just fine, but when I try and watch live TV I get a blank screen with some broken up audio. Where should I start to look for what the problem could be? I don't want to break everything else so am scared to start changing things in my config.

What's else is happening in Live TV mode over playing a file back that could be causing this problem? I'd have thought the PC was beefy enough, it's a 2.4Ghz P4. Any help appreciated!

Does setting your deinterlacing setting to 'encoder pass-through' does it help?

That was the default, so you must have been doing a bit of random "fiddling".
