I am really new to GBPVR (today actually). I can download the TV guide with the zap2it plugin. What I was wondering is how to show OTA HD channels in the guide.
An example is: channels 2 KUTV and 2 KUTVDT both show as only 2 KUTV in the guide.

Also is there a way to show the HDTV flag in the guide.
Example: Prison Break...blah blah(HDTV)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ON my setup I had to setup 2 seperate Zap2it accounts... both goto same email.. just have dif logins on each... one is for the HD tuner, and the the is for Tuned Satellite. When I configure Zap2it's lineup for the HD tuner... I chose Over the Air to get the Digital Channels.... both tuners are then combined in the guide... not sure if you have 1 or capture sources... with 1 .. this will probally not work for you... and depending on your setup (none was specified) there may be a better way...

The zap2it plugin pulls down the HD channels, I just have no way of knowing which is which in the tv guide. In the GBPVR configuration/channels section it shows the full names of the channels, but in the guide it leaves off the DT

2 KSTU
2 KSTUDT
both show as 2 KSTU

First, I do all my major channel modifications by emptying my channel list from within GB-PVR, then edit my zap2it.com accounts accordingly. Upon next EPG update (manual when setting up new channels) all zap2it com channels will have appropriate channel #s within GB-PVR.

I'm not using OTA SD channels currently, so I'm not sure how the labels compare between corresponding SD and HD channels. However, you should be able to get to the Channels tab in the Config app and edit the two to distinguish.

You didn't ask this, but in my case I needed to separate OTA channels from my satellite TV channels. GB-PVR doesn't natively have a concept of PSIP major.minor channel assignments, but I added the info via this scheme:

OTA HD channels = 1MMm, where MM = major channel #, and m = minor channel #.

For example, NBC 17-1 gets the number 1171. This seems to work pretty well for me. It would also allow you to distinguish your SD channels from your HD channels.

If I have an HD channel, then I selected the HD channel, otherwise I selected the analog channel. In order to clear the previous channel listing, the best way I've found is to remove the tuner device, exit the config so it will restart and re-add the tuner. Then update EPG should fill in the new channel info.

From the screen where you click update EPG info, there will be a channel number - from there you can change it to be what ever channel number you want - but it's a numbers only field.

My solution to the major/minor problem was to edit winlirc (I use a separate 3rd party ir blaster so this may not work for you) to send a '9' for a dash. Then I changed the digital channels to have a 9 in them - ie 491 for 4-1.

I don't think you'll be able to easily have channels 2 KUTV and 2 KUTVDT, but you can easily get 2 KUTVDT or 2 KUTV - I don't really see why you'd need both anyway unless you have one tuner digital and one tuner analog. If that's the case, you can search for "xmlparser" in the forums and there's a solution to allow you to have a separate listing per channel per device. That's how I'm set up and it's not very user friendly viewing 3 entries for each channel! But at least I can select which tuner I want to use.
