Let me see if I got this right...

The New DirectV box is the D12-300. I've been trying to get it to change channels but the best I can figure is that the IRblast is an IR and the box is changed throw RF... This would make a big difference.

Is the HIP an RF changer?

As far as HIP goes, no pain, no gain Big Grin

We all have different levels of 'comfortable' with installing new software and reading manuals. I believe from your post that you did read the correct part of the guide, and that you were stumped from the hardware failure on the part of the beanbag. I noticed for myself that only one of the Beanbag's ports for the blasters worked. You might want to try changing ports...

Also, be sure to use the alternate driver as specified in the HIP Guide...

I just switched to an updated version of the IRblaster software and I have a new Directv D12-300 box and with the update BINGO.. it now works... code is 0125.

The "red eye" as I call it has to be really close and I'm talking this thing is about 1/2" away from the directv box...

New software can be found here... ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/irblaster/....24286.exe

Works great!!!! I just about gave up hope that it would but here I am... I ran the new IR Blaster config and used the plain ole Directv box [no model number] and used the code 0125 and there it is...

You don't have to unistall the old blaster software...it'll copy over and without rebooting worked great for me. Big Grin

No HIP required for this... just plain ole blaster program.. NO extra programs needed.
