Option to split recordings

Can't seem to find an easy, reliable way to split my mpeg2 files. So would be cool if there was an option to start a new recording file when the file size of a recording reached a certain limit.
Would be easier to then burn the files of fixed sizes straight to cd/dvd

The easiest (and free) way for MPEG2 files that I have find is MPEG2CUT

Try it out. It's very very simple.

I think there is a newer better one: mpeg2cut2, it's on the same page, a few items down.

okay sub, thanks jksmurf seem to work well, HtV second version is here
doesnt seem to do automatic splitting, but seems to be the most reliable splitter i tried

Cheers I'll give #2 a whirl...
If all you want to do is split it, it works well (and free). It doesn't do much more than that though.
