Hi, for some reason showburner is not marking the comskip points as chapters on my dvd's. The commercials are marked when the show plays in gbpvr but the burned dvd only has one chapter. Is there something special that needs to be done to work with comskip? Any suggestions?

Win XP sp2
gbpvr 0.99.5
showburner2.5

ThanksSmile

get the latest version as i think i fixed that already...and looks like you've got 2.5 and now it's 2.6..

oh and it only works with the .txt files, not .edl from comskip..
sorry, been kinda busy lately..

..

Did I miss a version? 2.5 is up on the Wiki.

EDIT: I think you answered this question a while back. Isn't 2.6 on the wiki but the file name is 2.5?

see if it's different than the one you have...

look for a chapters.txt file in your showburner dir, that will be the last one it did.. is there anything in there?

2.5 and 2.3 are up there. I don't see 2.6, although I think that's what I have since it has all of the new stuff.

I downloaded the one marked 2.5 in the wiki on February 3. Did you update after that? I do have a chapters.txt... it contains this,
Code:
00:00:00,00:01:46,00:05:29,00:08:16,00:15:04,00:18:36,00:25:45,00:29:43,00:42:03,00:45:35,00:57:41,01:01:57
I'm running comskip with its default configuration.

I redownloaded showburner2.5.zip and it was 7,076 KB, same as the one I have. Should I reinstall this one anyway?

well that looks right...those are the converted chapters..what player are you not getting chapter skips in? i found out gbpvr's dvd player doesn't do chapters till next version...so it won't work there till next one...
but the others should...

sounds like you have the right version...no need to re-install..

try in a different settop player or WMP and let me know if any different, cuz looks good if you have the converted chapters, they should work...

I've skimmed the whole thread and I seem to be the only one who can't get the program to installl. I download the zip, extract the single file to my desktop and run it. It then puts a small icon next to the clock and when I click it there's a check mark next to "Script paused" with no apparent ability to uncheck it. I'm running XP SP2 and I don't have any super-prohibitive security or script blocking programs. Any ideas?
Thanks

All of them. Sad I tried in PowerDVD, WMP 11, PowerCinema 5 & my stand alone dvd player hooked to my tv. Theres just one marked chapter a minute or so into the shows and thats it. Another thing that happens is if I try to fast forward faster then 2x or rewind... it jumps to the menu screen and I must re-start the show from the beginning.

ahh, you've stoppped it actually...it does take a few secs to do it's work, and no progress bar ,but it's working..
did the browse for directory dialog come up? if not, wait till it does...
[less than 1 minute tops]
it should just pop up a box asking where to put temp files, then one to ask where dvd burner is...then it's done..copying is done in background so won't see anything at first...
