XRecord System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection threw an exception

I've had this error for a while now. Today I reloaded gbpvr 99.5 and downloaded the XRecord 46c. After install I tried to go to XRecord and select a program, then click on a title to play. And this error pops up: XRecord System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection threw an exception


Any clue?

Also, closing gbpvr always pops up a crash window. I'm enclosing the log file for gbpvr.

I'm not really familiar with the XRecord plugin and any issues it may have, but going by the error above, is this one of the older plugins only capable of using the old MS Access database?

I'm sure one of the other users will be able to give you a bit more to go on.

I suppose that's possible, i just assumed that when the wiki page said compatible with 99.5 it would be compatible with sqlite.

am using XRecord 0.46c and 0.99.5, and am not encountering any problems.

you mentioned you reloaded GBPVR, did you make a clean uninstall? Are you using a different skin? When I reloaded GBPVR recently, I made a copy of the c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr to another c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvroriginal. Then I uninstalled using Add/Remove Program from control app, then reloaded GBPVR and XRecord. Copied settings from config.xml, you could copy the sqlite db to get original program records, but I can't confirm that, I did not do that.


Sub, XRecord was already upgraded to use the sqlite db, but it is one of the older plugins and was just recently revamp to be more compatible with the latest release.

I'm also using the latest XRecord with gbpvr 0.99.5 without problems. I was using sqlite on my dev system and Access on my live system. I just switched my live system to sqlite as well without any issues. I exported the recordings from the config app first then reimported them after switching to sqlite.

From the logs is looks like it's failing in zapinterface.dll. Could be a bad dll, mdb, xml... I agree with fhmanas, backing up gbpvr, uninstall, delete and clean reinstall might be the easiest way to fix it.
