You can add the GetInfo program to the postepgupdate batch file if you'd like. In fact, I used to have them in there. In the latest rev of the plug-in it updates the information in real-time so there is no longer a need to call the utilities seperately if you are always running the plug-in. You can test it out by, for example, creating a summy mpg file and copying it into one of your DVD drives. In a few seconds you should see the .jpg (if one is found) and done.txt file be created.

You can test the same thing for TV shows by creating a new sub directory on your recrodings or archive directories. If the plug-in can find an image for the show you should see it apprea in the new folder in a few seconds.

Hi Jeff and others,
My problem is not resolved yet. I am going to do a full unistall of gbpvr, and of course I will reinstall it. I know that I have a problem in my config.xml file (get it when trying to connect throgh the webserver). So I think I can have more problems whit the config.xml. So I will be back in the forum on Friday whit an update.
Cheers /Jonas

Here are my suggestions--

Show conflicts
When soliving conflicts list out other possible air times of that show - possible integrate with fast find
Ability to do a page down/up in the left and right pane
--The two below are very minor--
When you bring up the details pane of an episode ability to press left to go to the right most button
When you delete the last episode of a series that you record, put the focus on the left pane.

As of yesterday -- and this does not always happend -- I'm recieving duplicate entries of an eposide. For example, on the left pane I'm on Punk'd and the right pane has the same episode both recorded at the same time.

Thanks for listening

Thanks for the comments. I am always looking for ways to make the plug-in better. If others have comments I'd welcome them as well.

Some of them should already be in the plug-in

Ability to do a page down/up in the left and right pane
-- This is there. I use the skip and replay keys on the remote (or page up and page down on the keyboard). Note that unlike the arrow keys, page up/down will notwrap around when the beginning/end of the list is reached.

When you delete the last episode of a series that you record, put the focus on the left pane.
-- This is supposed to happen now. It may take a second or two for the plug-in to notice that the list is empty and remove the entry, but it should. I just tried it on a sample directory and what it did was, after the last episode was deleted from a directory it removed the directory from the display, selected the next directory in the list and selected the first file in the new directory. Do you see the same thing? Are you saying that you would rather see if not select a file in the new directory but stay with the directory (left pane) selected instead?

As for the bug, I have seen this a few times in the past and thought I had swashed it, but like you it just started showing up for me yesterday as well. I have modified my code to try to fix this problem in another way so hopefully it will be gone in the next release.

For the new things.

Making the buttons wrap around in the video info dialog is an easy thing to do; I will put it in the next release

Conflicts is not something I've looked into in the past -- I just don't schedule any [Image: biggrin.gif] I can add this to my todo list but it will take more time before I have anything since I have no base to start from.

Jeff,

Great plugin. Just got it configured and it worked the first time. I tried to rip a DVD (The Office) with multiple episodes on it and it only would select one of the two main shows. I was not able to select anything at the base directory page. Is there any manual setting I could do in DVDdecrypter to get it to grab the other file?

The base directories page lists all the sub directories under the specified base or, if no subdirectories are found, it justs lists the base. If you create a bunch of subdirectories you should see them show up in the plug-in.

Sorry, I misread your question. If you have a DVD with multiple episodes on it what I do is use the re-author function of DVD shrink to create multiple *.iso files and then mount each DVD in turn with daemon. It's not automated, but it works. You can also muck around with the DVDDecrypter command line, but that process wouldn't be automated either so I'm not sure it is worth the effort. It would be nice of the plug-in detected that their were multple movies on the DVD and let you pick which one to convert, but unless there is an existing command line app available to extract this infor I don;t see it as something I will be able to add to the plug-in any time soon.

Couple things...

Is there a timeout for the gettvinfo? Sitting at update folder...

I see it getting a poster for a show I deleted (and there are no more), I guess the folder still exists?

What does it search for on google for the tv show? I

GetTVInfo just looks for the existance of the folder name; it does not look or care if there are any .mpg files in the folder. It tries to fetch the info from tvtome.com or, if that fails, from imdb.com. It has 5 differnt forms of querry it uses at IMDB to try to find something reasonable. The standalone gettvinfo utility doesn't put any info into the log as to what the querries were. If you configure GBPVR to use the video archive plug-in, the archive plug-in will create a log file called archiver-DVD-MVP for quires launched by the MVP client or archiver-DVD-PC for quires lauacned by aPC based client that show you the actual http request sent out.
