any directory, it just needs it to be installed, theres a dll that comes with this plugin however that needs to be in the gbpvr root directory.

Reven

Having used MyMusic for a few weeks, i've think you've got it just right.

One problem i have....

What ever machine i install GB-PVR on if i leave it on you plugin, i.e. minimised, OR GBPVR running as an MVP server, i get problems with Windows having to adjust Virtual memory !!

This definately only happens when GBPVR is left on MyMusic.

Dean.

well bluesxman ive got the itunes playlists to work, even the multiple playlists found in each file. however, my code has gotten extremely messy, complicated; since it was originally designed just as a file browser interface, and just changing directories etc, now it has to jump from files to a playlist dir, to virtual playlists, blah blah blah. that said, i could continue with the messy code, or spend a few days improving it and making it more readable, extendable etc, which im doing. i was planning on doing this anyway, but the itunes gave me the kick in the arse to do it. so i hopefully will have it done by the end of the week. that said, im likely to introduce a few bugs with the reshuffle, its always the case.

the reshuffle will also hopefully help with the memory issues aswell, or at least make them easier to maintain and fix.

oh yeah i am still searching for a dll to get the tag information from ape/wma/ogg files. so keep on searching.

Thanks for all the effort you've put in so far, hope someone else finds it useful too! Sorry I've got you tidying up your code, I know how much fun that is! [Image: tounge.gif]

I'll look forward to trying out the new version -I've a couple of suggestions and questions, but they'll wait until the next release [Image: smile.gif]

VERSION: 1.1 !

ok i need a few people to try and break this version [Image: smile.gif]
i completely rewrote the core of the plugin, which means major changes, unexpected bugs. ive been playing around with it, fixed every bug ive run into, so i need people to think of things i didnt, and cause gbpvr to crash [Image: smile.gif] fun fun fun.

if got itunes working perfect now, which is the reason for the updated, you can now have playlist directories (well store playlists into sub directories of the main playlist directory, save will goto the default however). you can delete/rename playlists found in itunes files.

i am aware of one bug (well one i can think of as i write this) if you record a playlist to cd, it will write at 4x (i think its the default in nerocmd); this is because, the only cd-rw i have (well that still worked) no longer works, been written on toomany times, so i couldnt continue testing it. and well ive got 43cents to my name, and in nz thats not enough to buy a new cdrw.

can someone test the itunes playlists, even if you dont have itunes, can you do me a favour and download it and export a xml playlist and just test it. its working fine for me, but bluesxman is having issues still, just trying to narrow down the bug.

Hey Reven,

I'm just recording a show right now so I can't change my directories around to check out your itunes playlist function but I'll do it first thing in the morning.

Having said that I do know one thing that does require fixing... When you play a song and then change the view to detailed it shows you folders with details from the song that is currently playing not from the the folder or file that is listed.

I hope that helps and I'll get back to you on the itunes playlist tomorow.

Dubya

p.s. Great work!

p.p.s. Any chance of getting m4p's and m4a's to play through My Music???

add those extensions if they play then yes, if they dont then there is no way.

why dont people just stick with mp3? they are a proven format, make my life a lot easier

found the details bug, i was trying to be smart and speed things up, made the id3 tag reader static (one copy for every single file, instead of each file having its own copy), it didnt work, didnt speed things up anyway. its a delete one word fix.
