Do you have GBPVRBackendCommon.dll or GBPVRPublic.dll in your plugins directory? You shouldnt.

No, I don't see those files in my plugins directory.

snoop244 Wrote:Starting on HD works! Switching back to SD crashes the system. I thought it might be an AC3Filter problem, but it is no longer the prefered decoder, and it still crashes. I tried the nvidia audio decoder - no sound at all and still crashes on SD channels. Hmmm. Well, thanks for your help - at least I get HD now. I'll keep playing with decoders until I get a combination that works. I'll report back when I fix the problem.
Reproduce the error by starting on HD then switching to SD, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take look.

I would think if you're using a audio decoder that copes with both AC3 and normal MPEG1 Layer 2 audio it should handle it without crash, but post those logs and I'll take a look.

In theory it also works with new DVB-S Hauppauge devices, Nova-S Plus, HVR3000/4000 etc. (Not original Nova-S)

diseqc control is not covered by the BDA spec, which means it needs to be implement a different way for each manufacturer's cards, which is why there is only limited diseqc support in GB-PVR.

Hi, sub! I was wondering why the original nova-s doesn't work with a diseqc switch for you (or maybe you have not had time adding it?)?
Their latest driver ( http://technotrend-online.com/download/s....10.18.zip ) seem to support switching 4 way switching with no problem... Are you missing the switching code? Provided you get what you need for it to work (code) would you consider adding it in the future?

Thanks for a nice LiveTV program and best regards!

The answer was in the post you quoted.

Diseqc control is not covered by the BDA specific, which means it needs to be implement a different way for each manufacturer's cards. ie, Technotrend have not told me how they do their proprietary diseqc switching with their BDA drivers, so GB-PVR has no support for it.

Altrxo (author of Alt-DVB) has stated that he uses switching via put_Range ( http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms784715.aspx ) but I would guess this in not the method TechnoTrend uses as Alt-DVB sometimes can stick to one LNB, but it works most of the times...

Best regards!

The use of put_Range for diseqc switching is not defined, so I'm not even sure what values it would use for each LNB.

Hi,

I have a Torridal T90 with a 8 way diseq 1.0 multiswitch.

I was hoping that i could use with GB-PVR with my NOVA-S-PLUS satellite card

are there any plans to add the ability to have different LNB LO for each satellite?

From initial testing so far that seems to be the only gotcha (for me anyways) - as i can find each of the channels on each sat if i change the LO each time... however can only ever use one LO - so that i dont mix sats up on the multiswitch . i use a combination of 10600 (for D1) , and 10750 or 11300 LNBs.

I've not tested a setup like yours myself, but you already specify different LNB settings per capture source. You should just need a capture source per LNB with the appropriate settings for each.

Thanks Sub - i did find a post eventually that said to create a different capture source for each sat - and then point to the same device number.

This works - i can now have different LO and diseq numbers for each sat.

One thing i did notice (at least with the multiswitch i use) - is that for GB-PVR I need to set the 22KHz diseq switch signal frequency to 0 to turn it on (reverse to what i expected) - i was wondering why i wasnt seeing any signals on the sats for the parameters i had in my STB. Once i figured that out everything went along swimmingly Smile

I now have 9 capture devices set up (8 Sats on nova-s-plus & PVR150).

One thing ive noticed is when i go from one sat capture device to another (say from D1 to B3) - GBPVR sits there and thinks about it (which is weird since same physical PCI card, and that STB changes instantly) - then says there is no signal ... then the signal meters light up and the channel appears (the whole process woud take a good 30-60 secs). Changing channels on the same sat is fairly much instant - and so is changing to an analogue channel on the PVR150.

Other than the wait between sats - i think ive got it sorted now - only thing i have to do is figure out how to add Imparja and NITV..

Thanks for your assistance.
