Did EPG update, no change. Scheduled "Inside Edition" as a daily recording, and it scheduled for the 3 days in the listings. Edited zap2it to get 5 days and did EPG update. "Inside Edition" was pending for 3 days, but not for the two new days in the guide, and still none of the others were pending. Edited zap2it to get 8 days and did EPG update from the capture source window - all reoccurings are pending for every day.

Logs are attached.

This is on my laptop. Home PC did EPG update yesterday with I-xmltv without problem. Weirdness. :confused:
I still think you've got something funny happening in your setup, otherwise we'd see lots of other reports - but there has been none that I've seen. I'm happy to keep looking into it though, because I need to be sure its not GB-PVR.

Unfortunately you've had too many goes at updating the EPG those logs, so I cant tell which are which comments in your post, so...

Ideally, I'd like you to repeat something like this (with a new show), and post the logs, with comments about what time you did each of the EPG updates. Also list the times of the shows that should have been scheduled that werent. The more detail you can provide the better.

Also zip and email your gbpvr.db3 to me at support@devnz.com after you've reproduced this.

Just reloaded my TVguide with the TVGids.XML file which I posted and the recordings schedule was empty.... So in this posted XML must be a flaw.
I have a reoccurring recording ie for "Peking Express" on comming sunday which is not scheduled. (EPG data is ofcourse in the posted XML file.)

Section from Posted TVGids.xml :
<programme start="20070311203000 +0100" stop="20070311214000 +0100" channel="37">
<title>Peking Express: Zuid-Amerika</title>
<category>Amusement</category>
<credits>
<presenter>Art Rooijakkers</presenter>
<presenter>Roos van Acker</presenter>
</credits>
</programme>

This is the section from the TVGids.xml from today which is scheduled OK:

<programme start="20070311203000" stop="20070311214000" channel="37">
<title>Peking Express: Zuid-Amerika</title>

<presenter>Art Rooijakkers</presenter>
<presenter>Roos van Acker</presenter>
</credits>
</programme>

Only difference i can see is the "+0100" in the posted TVGids.xml. But when i remove it in the TVGids.xml and empty and reload the TVgids.xml it is still not scheduled. Whem i empty and reload with the TVGids.xml from today it is scheduled for comming sunday!

I update the TVguide every morning for the comming 7 days and sometimes the recording schedule is empty! Today it is ok.

Hi styx, unfortunately that last xmltv file you posted did not match the error message generated. The microsoft XML parser error was referring to tags on specific lines that didnt match the file you supplied.

Can do an update epg to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the xmltv file and config.exe.log? Hopefully getting them at the same time will make sure they match.

Do you only have the one capture source?

This is my test machine with one Hauppauge PVR250 card.
I'm running GBPVR 99.12 with Basic skin 99.5.
My "production" machine has two Hauppauge PVR500 cards (4 tuners in total)
and GBPVR 98.13 with Basic skin 99.5

Very strange. When i empty and reload the TVguide with the TVGids.xml, which was working this morning, now the recording schedule stays empty??

I'm attaching the Zip file with the logs and the TVGids.xml in question.

There is a couple of things wrong with the XMLTV file.

- There is a lot of empty <programme></programme> tags in your xmltv which leads to a lot of errors. I think these are the source of your errors.
- It is the first xmltv file I've seen that specifies a <icon> tag for the rating system. This confuses GB-PVR and it tries to download it as a channel icon. It results in an error in the logs, but doesnt stop it from processing the rest of the file. I've modified it for the next build so it knows to ignore this icon tag.

Ok Thanks Sub for checking it out.

Is there a difference in how it processes the XMLTV file between 99.x and 98.x ? Because on my other pc with GBPVR 98.13 it uses the exect same XMLTV file and it is working like a dream?

By the way does GBPVR support some kind of rating for the TVGuide?

No, it hasnt changed in a long time.

Those problem <program> tags are definitely in you xmltv file. You can open it and look. You'll also see a huge number of errors relating to it in the logs. I'm sure you'll find the same errors in your v0.98.13 logs with those same files.

It does store it, and show it in the show description.

Yes I see the errors also in the 98.13 logs.

But I wonder why version 98.13 can process the same XMLTV file and schedule the recordings correctly and version 99.x cannot when there is no change in this part of the program?
