Sorry to be a pain! But the result's the same. I do appreciate the effort you're putting into this...and as instructed, I closed down everything before replacing the dlls, and then restarted the machine, all with the same result, either accessing the feed locally or remotely.

Ok.....is it just the LiveBookmark that is not working correctly? The feed is being generated you just can't see it in LiveBookmark view?

That last release fixed Thunderbird!

Be careful where you think it unpacks. The relative paths were not web/bin as they normally are. They were Visual Studio Local\RSS\bin.

If you just unpacked them you wouldn't have overwritten the correct files.
I copied them once it unpacked to the web/bin dir and all is working perfectly.

Liteswap, make sure you really have the right files copied in.

I knew there was a reason I included a # in the patch name.....here is #2 that has the paths set correctly.....

So I stopped the recording service. I created a Visual Studio Local/RSS/bin folder (didn't have one already, so created one off the gbpvr/web root), and copied the two files into it. Then I fired up Firefox on the local machine -- and got a fail to load error, same remotely. Sorry

The files don't belong in the Visual Studio Local/RSS/bin folder, they belong in the gbpv/web/bin dir. With patch #1 they would have unpacked to the wrong dir. I copied them from the wrong dir to the right dir. If you use patch #2 it should have the relative paths (from gbpvr) set correctly. Use patch #2 and you just unpack as usual.

...and for safety's sake, I copied them to the ../web/bin location too. Have now deleted surplus VSL dir - sorry: wrong end of stick error. Same result...

What else could be affecting EWA this way? Any other plugins or dependencies?

I don't think it's another plugin or dependancy just because you can receive the data, just not in livebookmark mode.

Thunderbird, whicih shares code with Firefox, will not verify this feed: http://mycomputer:7647/gbpvr/public/rss.aspx

It now works perfectly on any of the filtered feeds such as
http://astrotv:7647/gbpvr/public/rss.asp...=completed.

Have you tried on the lastest patch on a filtered feed?

UJB,
This page describes the trouble one person had with rss feeds and what was required in the feed to get it to work. In particular after the feed would validate he found additional elements were required for Firefox to live bookmark his feed.

Yes I have - with same failure to load.
