I'm having trouble with remote control delays. From the TV guide, if I start scrolling down through channels, after about the 5th channel the display pauses for 2-3 seconds. I usually stop scrolling and just wait for the channel guide to catch back up. I repeat this process several times until I get to the channel I want. It's usually not a big deal, but just more of an annoyance. Occasionally, though, the MVP reboots. (This scroll-pause behavior isn't limited to just the TV guide. It's just easy to see there).

I had high hopes with this thread that setting the NIC to half-duplex would fix it, but no luck so far:

I'm running 99.12. I've also disabled all plugins to make sure it wasn't some conflict there.

I just pushed the issue by repeatedly scrolling up-and-down until I got the MVP to reboot a couple times. Attached is a zip file of the logs. If somebody could take a look at them, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Same issue here. Also happens when just changing channels. There are times when I am just watching and want to pause, only to find that my MVP has stopped responding to all commands except for Power. Very frustrated and would greatly appreciate any ideas as well.

I'll confirm this MVP lockup behavior. It seems as if you make too many button presses too fast (?), the MVP will lock into it's current function.

The only way out is a unplug power reset on the MVP.

I'll send a log when it happens again.

Just did some testing and I can get the MVP to lock in it's current action by pressing the skip >| button about 6-7 times at a rate of about once a second.

Here's the MVP log that captured the details during that time period.

There was an H3 mvp that I came across that refused to load a dongle.bin from either GBPVR or Hauppauge. Without knowing it, this user always ended up running from the flash copy which might not be as compatible as that one sub distributes. Your logs don't actually show the dongle.bin transfer so I'm wondering if this might be the case for you.

Your profile says you are running wireless, and if you are using the mvp's wireless card, you can confirm that you have truly loaded the gbpvr dongle with the following steps:

1. Loading gbpvr on the mvp (You probably are here)
2. Power off with the remote
3. Stop gbpvr MediaMVP server and the GVPBR Recording Service.
4. Power on the mvp
5. When the mvp starts scanning for server hit Back on the remote
6. Navigate to the Options menu.

Here Flash should say 1.1.38 and
System should say something else. mine says 1.1.52 because that's what I'm running.

If they are both 1.1.38 you haven't loaded the dongle.bin.

I tried running through your steps, however I only showed GBPVR Recording Services, not the GBPVR MediaMVP Server. I stopped the recording services and powered off the MVP. Powered it back on and selected BACK. But the screen just displays "Contactin Servers"

FYI, My MVP is wired

Yes, Unfortunately that option screen only comes up on the revision H models with the wireless card. You'd have to depend on the GBPVR log messages. Also If you don't have a revision H this isn't a problem.

Ok, but do you have the combination wired and wireless version?
