GB-PVR only tunes 1 channel in HDHomeRun

As soon as I get a chance in the next couple of days, I will set up a fresh install of XP/SP2 with the HDHomeRun and GB-PVR and see if I get the same issue. If I do, I will install the updates one by one to find out which one it needs.

It's gotta be less work than buying a book and learning C# so I could write a plugin for a device that I knew you had no way of testing.

Oh, my--hopefully you are not doing this entirely on my account, but in any case I thank you and look forward to your result!

I have an Autopatcher DVD-ROM on order so that if I have to re-install from scratch I at least can do so without killing my internet connection (long story). I may try to figure-out slipstreaming at the same time.

In any case for all the searching I have done for a simple recording program for HDHR, this GB-PVR looks like it's perfect for me--I can enable or disable the plugins for it. An amazing & exceedingly welcome architecture--I am already talking it-up to others who are looking for same (despite that I haven't quite gotten there myself!!! :o ).

The problem is solved--for some reason, it is possible to build an XP SP2 PC and not have the standard Windows BDA files installed. The solution is simply to find bda.inf in the Windows/inf directory, right-click and "Install". Following this, GB-PVR's Config app scans the HDHR as it should.

Silicondust's jafa is looking at why his software doesn't "notice" that XP SP2's BDA installation is incomplete. Why some XP installations don't have bda.inf installed properly remains a mystery.
