I'm using an HDHomerun and am able to watch channels perfectly, but I've encountered two problems:

1) When changing aspect ratio (F7) the screen gets corrupted. I've tried the nativeutilities patch from another thread but that didn't help.

2) When I record a show GBPVR says it's recording and creates the recording directory / file, but doesn't actually write anything to the hard drive except a 6KB file.

Using the Nvidia purevideo codec and DVR-MS; System: Athlon 3200+, 1GB ram, 6800GS.

The aspect ratio isn't a huge deal breaker, but I'd like to figure out why the stream isn't being saved.

Thanks.

Do a search for 6KB. You will find numerous threads. Obviously I don't know which one applies to your case Big Grin

This is a bug with drivers of nvidia video cards. The work arounds include: switching video renderer to VMR9 Custom or VMR9 FSE, or disabling hardware acceleration, or installing old nvidia drivers.

A few HDHomeRun owners have had this. I'm not sure why. I think they switched to using the 'TS Mux' option instead of DVR-MS. To do this though, you need HDTV Pump installed: http://dvbportal.dyn1.de/download.php?fi...-1.0.7.zip

Changing the "BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnRecord" to "true" worked for pretty much everyone except stemark I believe (I still haven't figured out why it didn't work for him).
