Getting rid of OSD when pausing recordings

Hey sub, is there a way I can get rid of the On Screen Display when I pause a recording? I use the hauppauge 45 button remote and I've tried pushing exit, and all the color buttons but the OSD still remains.

You can press the blue key to remove the OSD, but remember that its not possible to update the screen in any way when using the VMR7 or VMR9 renderer unless video is playing. This is a limitation of the Microsoft VMR renderers. Overlay, VMR9 Custom and VMR9 FSE will show this change even if the video is paused.
