Both of my win2k pro machines will power down completely from the start menu>shutdown control. If I try to execute the shutdown from within GBPVR both machines go to the It is now safe to turn the power off message and I have to manually press the power button to get it to power off.

I know most people are using winxp or above so it's not high on the priority list, but if there is a simple fix that would be good.
Based on the suggestions of McBainUK and Sniperdude there is a workaround using psshutdown.exe as a custom task. This does correctly shut the machine down so there is no ACPI issue that is preventing shutdown which is usually the cause of the Safe to power off message.

bgowland Wrote:The ShutDown plugin uses the WMI Win32_OperatingSystem class to invoke either the Shutdown method or the Reboot method. The first looks like it would leave a machine in the 'safe to power off' state. To force power off would need the Win32Shutdown method.
