On my HTPC GB-PVR seems to be working just fine. However, on my MVP all the recordings have a running time of one second? What is strange is that on the HTPC the running times are accurate, 32 minutes or 62 minutes, etc.. With the MVP and using GB-PVR's front-end they are all displayed as one second. If you fast forward I get an object error and it goes back to the menu, otherwise it will just play until the end?

Yeah, the timestamp issue would be my first guess.

Quote:Why OK on PC and not on MVP though?
Because different methods are used to report the duration on the MVP vs the PC. On the MVP it takes the last presentation timestamp and subtracts the first presentation timestamp. Even if the duration is reported correctly on the PC with one of the broken timestamp files though, there are still different playback problems you get it.

It doesn't appear to be the timestamp issue. I went ahead and went through the process of loading the Hauppauge drivers it said to on the Wiki. I also updated the registry as it said. These are not AVI files so that concern is completely ruled out. They are simply MPGs recorded by the Hauppauge 150MCE via GBPVR. On the PC they are reflected with the accurate time duration but everything on the MVP states all recordings are only 1 second long but they play just fine. When I try to FF or REW GBPVR returns an error that says something about it not finding the instance of an object?

From reading your post I'm unclear if you are connecting playback of AVIs with MPGs... The Time stamp issue only fixes the recording of MPGs on the 150...

Anyway, what skin are you using? Are you dealing with defaults? What plugins...

Are you able to transcode on the fly AVIs or other non MPG files?

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

I have only been trying MPGs. The issue is only with the MVP and not on the server.

I'm using the default skin and all the settings are practically default across the board.

I haven't tried any transcoding.
