but I thought I'd ask it anyway. I don't suppose there is anyway to run a second instance of the recording service on the same machine to be able to experiment with skins and still have a primary instance running that someone might be actually recording with. Big Grin

Not unless its running in VMWare or VirtualPC.

Oh well thats what I figured.

So, if I install gbpvr on a notebook and it doesn't have any capture device I could still play around with the skin a little on that I suppose?

yes. That's what I end up doing too.
You could use it as a client too if you want.

VirtualPC is your friend!!! A great way of doing all sort of funny (software) based things without damaging a real install of windows/gbpvr.

Ok, I am downloading virtual pc. Something tells me I am going to overtax my pvr/workstation though. Wink

yeah it's pretty memory hungry but you can have the same image on a couple of machines, and take backups of the file system (vhd file) before making changes - or use undo disks to revert problems.
