Sorry, I dont really know. These freecom devices have always been a major cause of problems.

Maybe try finding alterntive drivers?

Just as a small update, I installed MediaPortal and that did allow a successful scan of channels etc with the current drivers etc as did the arcsoft program that comes with the freecom.

So now I'm guessing there's an issue elsewhere perhaps in the settings file for the frequency range on the scan etc etc

If you've any other ideas I could try that would be great.

It's always nice to have a happy ending to a thread, so here's one!

Installed Vista today, had to edit the bda.ini so the Freecom entry had Freecom infront of it, gbpvr scanned perfectly, worked like a dream.

All up and running in about 5 minutes! Perhaps it was a clean install, perhaps it was Vista - I dunno, but it's WORKING!!

And it's brilliant!
