can I make my computer a HD upscaler?

If I've connected my computer to an LCD panel @ 1360x768 is it possible to output my freeview (via GB-PVR), but upscaled at all?

(kinda how dvd players can upscale dvd's. . .)

If you have an HDTV tuner though I think you just need to set your desktop res to the LCD's native & you shouldn't need to scale HD content at all.

Just SD content.
