sub Wrote:CC subtitles are definitely in that file. I see these subtitles in GB-PVR when running on PC, with intervideo decoder + VMR9.

mvpmc mustnt understand that CC format yet.

The format is easy and the following mvpmc output is what I can demux from your sample's user data. It's promising so if anyone who can create CCinDVD data and wants to volunteer some time to see it on their MVP I suggest you open a thread on the mvpmc sub-forum. With this tiny sample I don't really have enough to do much else.

It wouldn't hurt to have a font designer join in too. The one current mvpmc OSD font doesn't have the musical note and I'd prefer the look of sans serif.

Sub, in a messsage on shspvr http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=10893.0 SHS says that GBPVR has to access a DVD mode that WinTV 2000 cannot, to create CCinDVD. Do you have any idea what I would need to do?

CCinDVD is always on with the new drivers. No patches needed.

Not in mine, and I now know enough to read them in the binary mpeg if they were there. SHS also said they can't be recorded with WinTV 2k which actually doesn't make sense.

The stream type is "DVD" in GB-PVR by default. If you look in the direct.ini file, you'll see each quality profile section has an "OutputType=14". 14=DVD, 12=SVCD, 11=VCD.

You can also try OutputType=10, which is also a DVD stream type.

That's a good point. CCinDVD was only turned on for certain stream types.
EDIT: from another forum. outputstreamtype 10, 13 or 14 for CCinDVD.

I hadn't changed the 14 but I just tried 10 and it wasn't succesful. I had tried the 0x0a and 0x0e settings in WinTV2k. Somehow in stopping and starting services,direct.ini, and config.exe I managed to have config.xml reset to defaults too. The joys of editing text files in Vista.

Someone from Hauppauge is supposed to help me out. I'm leaving this alone for now. Doesn't sound like there's any real interest anyway.

If it helps I'm using 25037 beta drivers.

I actually think it's a Vista related issue.

I found <CompositeImage name="SRTSubtites" size="90,20">
<DrawTextWithOutline text="@line1" loc="0,0" size="100,33" outlineWidth="2" borderColor="Black" textStyle="OsdTextVeryLargeStyle" align="Center" valign="Center"/>
<DrawTextWithOutline text="@line2" loc="0,33" size="100,33" outlineWidth="2" borderColor="Black" textStyle="OsdTextVeryLargeStyle" align="Center" valign="Center"/>
<DrawTextWithOutline text="@line3" loc="0,66" size="100,33" outlineWidth="2" borderColor="Black" textStyle="OsdTextVeryLargeStyle" align="Center" valign="Center"/>
</CompositeImage>

in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\OSD\skin.xml

Am I in the right place and which parameter do I need to change? I tried similar parameters the way I had it in ver .99 but that didn't work. I have tried 3 settings and have to exit GBPVR, reset the config, and restart GBPVR each time for the changes to take effect so it's not like I'm being lazy, I am just short on time.

edit: I have the srt subtitles aligned left in the skin.xml and they are, but I want them to start at about 1/4 the way across the screen. Therefore at this point I am concerned about the placement.
