Hello all
My htpc is a little choppy during viewing live tv and the sound is slightly crackly. It seems to record and playback the recording just fine.
Is this a normal thing or is there something I can do to fix this.
My system specs are:
MB: ASUS P4GE-MX
CPU: Celeron 2.53Ghz
RAM: 512MB
VC: Nvidia FX5200
Capture Card: Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE
OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2
PVR Software: GB-PVR (latest version)
I tweaked the OS for a little more performance by disabling unused services and disabling Media Center from running.
Some things I was going to try tonight were a better video card, I have a ATI 9800 Pro.
Also, could it be a inefficient codec? In the config, my playback decoders are all set to system default.
Does anybody have any suggestions to get Live TV to perform better.
Thanks in advance.
