Hauppage PVR500 copy channels ??

Hello all.

I just got this card today with 2 tuners on it (PAL).
Slowly I get everything to work, but for now I have 1 question.

First I had to do a slow "tuning assistent" to get the channel numbers and then putting them manually in the first Capture source.
But is it possible that I can't copy the channels from the first capture source to the second source, do I really need to put no. and name for all channels again?

Edit: But now when trying to put channels in the second source the "ADD" button is greyed out and cannot be choosed. :confused:
What am I doing wrong?

You have to setup the epg source again for the second one as well.
And then you can enter the channels again. Afaik there is no way to copy them from the first source.

Ok thx, it worked and now to all the channels inserting again ;-)

2 more question:
When switching channels, after I only switched 3-4 channels the audio is out of sync. I must push exit or esc button and then live tv again to get it in sync.
But it happens again after switch 3-4 channels.
Any suggestion?

And like other people I cannot record one channel and watch another, it says No free record device etc etc
If I look at "show status" it says "Device1" Recording and "Device2" Sleeping.
How can i "wake" the second one up ;-)

You have to setup one device as "device no 1" and the other as number 2.
If it doesn't work then switch the device numbers around.
For the skipping: do a search for the 150 timestamp bug, = install the latest drivers and apply the registry patch. This is the thread:

Ok thx but...

Already tried switching the device numbers 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 and no luck.
About the other issue, it's when I see livetv and after some channel switching that the video/audio is out of sync.
As I can read the timestamp issue doesn't show any audio/video sync problem.

So Im stuck at the moment :confused:

I'm not sure what you mean, But I'd install the latest drivers and apply the registry patch anyway. Otherwise maybe select other audio/videode-coder or renderer

Using GB-PVR v0.99.12 with timestamp regpatch.
Hauppage WinTV PVR500 PAL with latest drivers from here:
WinCD 3.4a1 (may 2. 2007)

Just trying: In device-manager is the pvr500 installed properly, no exclamation marks or anything? There should be 2 pvr150's listed.
What OS are you running, xp, mce etc?

Inside device manager under "sound video game controllers" i got 2 Hauppauge:

1. Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx)(Tuner 1)
2. Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx)(Tuner 2)

And no exclamation marks, seems installed properly.

Running WinXP Pro SP2 with all updates up to date.

If you look at the Attachment 10826 (DeviceTypeCheck.exe-native) is that one ok?

And inside the settings for the Direct Recording Plugin under "Source" how many "Internal Tuner" should there be?
I got there:
1 Internal Tuner
3 Composite ext tuner
2 S-video ext. tuner
1 Fixed channel ext. tuner
