I was experiencing similar problems yesterday (joost.com was also not available.) However, I now have the latest "friend edition" which works fine and provides unlimited invites (bad idea).

Mine is up and running well, all emails sent to me should have invites now (fingers crossed)

Just heard they raised $45M for this venture from CBS etc... hope they spent plenty on servers!

Im curious how they manage to get such good quality video at such a timely speed? Impressive.

So, who still needs an invite? Would it be possible for everyone who received one to edit their post?

On another note, has anyone been able to get joost to properly launch from gbpvr? I had to map it to a separate button on my remote.

It seems to crash explorer on my HTPC, recordings are ok mind you, so i might wait and see if things improve in later versions (either that or stump up for more memory!)

Also i had hoped to get it to start up with in windows in standby mode so its always downloading, but it doesent have many config options (yet). This is kind of irrelevant given the first problem though!

Ive had it up and registered for 2 weeks now and still have not receievd any invites to dole out to others. As for the crashes, I was experiencing the same thing. Can't leave it in standby. When im done watching it I will shut down the whole program, otherwise it's locked by the next evening.

its still only beta, i'll leave it off the HTPC for a while i think. I noticed its install similarity to firefox (chrome, extensions, plugins folders etc?) Do you think there will be config options buried in there somewhere?

Also, look in the release notes for key bindings.

hey stu!

not trying to nag or anything but I still have nothing at my gmail account from you or Joost.

Is it possible you sent it in the wrong direction or something? Seems weird that gmail would drop mail like that....

Let me know!

Would love to check joost out....

thanks!
