i got sick of the lack of skinnability in the shutdown plugin, and the spelling mistakes, and mostly how it would cause gbpvr to crash every time i tried to reboot or shutdown, thus rendering the plugin useless. so i fixed it. you can now skin it, you can have task image for each option (havent included this in the blue skin, but ill do this in the media experience skin), everything can be translated; and best of all i can shut down my computer with it!

the source can also be found at the wiki (ive commented out the original "shutdown"/"restart" code, and used some i found at codeproject.com but if people have problems with the new code ill add a checkbox to the configuration so you can choose which code you want to use, pretty sure it will work for everyone thou.).

oh and background now uses composite images so tblackwe you wont have the problems with displaying text anymore.

anyone find any bugs, any spelling mistakes (yes i make them too), just let me know. the black rounded rectangle isnt semi transparent anymore, since its a composite image, but thats no biggy, you could photoshop a different background to give it that effect, so im not going to worry about it.

as soon as my wife stops catching up on shows, I'll install it and get back to work on my skinning. I embedded the text in the pics, but the font just didnt look quite right.

Is there a way to eliminate the extra picture files that arent used? when I try and get rid of most of them, the plugin won't show up.

All the functions appear to be working properly for me. Looks fine

err already answered this via a PM, but if anyone else is wondering, just use an empty image in their place, eg empty.png (which is used in the blue skin), which is a 10x10 transparent png file.

Hi,

I am looking for funktionality to shutdown when all recordings are done for the day (or at a specified time). It could be that after klicking shutdown it asks you for when the shutdown should take be done. I have not yet tried the shutdown plugin but I can not see that this feature is included. Maybe I am asking for much but it would be very useful.

i have no plans to extend the shutdown plugin any further, i was just was fixing a bug in it, and improving the skinning. someone else might extend it further, but i wont. to busy with other things.
