I have just installed GB-PVR 99.12 fresh
(i removed 99.05 completely and cleaned my registry)
I installed the XRecord plugin just fine.
I have scheduled many shows to record (with the default guide)
When I view XRecord, the Conflicts button is red.
when I select Conflicts, I get an error popup and I am returned to the main menu.
The error reads: Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any help on how to fix this, or configure it correctly?
(below are screenshots of the error and my zipped up LOGS folder)

I fixed a bug related to the "Conflicts" button as mentionned here but although the code was checked into sourceforge, the new build never made it to the wiki. I'll upload the latest build as soon as I get a chance. Stay tuned.

I uploaded the build that includes the conflict button bugfix to the wiki.

*[ 1695402 ] Conflict button doesn’t refresh

I didn't have time to update the version number so it's still called 0.49. The only way to tell if you're using the latest version is that gbpvr/plugins/recordPlugin.dll file will be dated 13/05/2007 after installing.

I looked at the code and that bugfix was very minor. It seems from the logs that your problem may be different. If you're still getting the problem with the latest version, I may need your gbpvr.db3 to reproduce the problem.

Hummmm.... I've downloaded v0.49
The date on the file "recordPlugin.dll" is older.
Needless to say, the error still pops up.
The new version might not be available yet?
Here's the page in the wiki I used to download the plugin.

If I am looking in the wrong place, could you link me to the correct area to download the v0.49 revision.
Thanks,
~Syn

That's the right place to download it. Make sure to clear your browser cache so you get the new version. I just tried downloading it and installing and the 13/05/2007 version of recordPlugin.dll is 0.49.2688.42241.

Sorry to hijack your thread, :o but I just saw your screen with all those (to me) rather ugly program icons (I use Xrecord almost excl. btw) and thought I'd recommend several utils (in my pref. order) that can help you get nice icons.
  • The first is the ProgrammeImageTool, please note the special setup for Xrecord. Not all shows might get icons though.
  • The second is the VideoArchive Plugin, if nothing else than for it's ability to make an icon out of the first few secs of your recorded show.
  • The third is XMLTVICons but is dependent on your EPG Data Provider and is intended for intergration with the TVListings Plugin.
  • The fourth is using showburner.
  • I am not sure I am aware of any others.

Okay...
* I cleared the cache in my browser
* uninstalled xrecord
* re-downloaded xrecord
* re-installed xrecord
* re-configured xrecord plugin under GB-PVR config.
CONFLICTS = FIXED ! Big Grin
(attached screenshot of current DLL version needed for fix.)

Thank you's to everyone who exerted brain power on this one.
