I have a MediaMVP hooked up via a wireless access point to a TV in my living room. The problem is this, when viewing live TV or a video from the system the far right is being cut off. I have tried using the MVP Position plugin but even with the offset at 0 the problem occurs. Upon further inspection I discovered that my PVR 150 is recording at 720x480. My TV only displays 640x480 is there a way to:
1) change the recording resolution to 640x480 (I didnt see it in the dropdown)
2) make the MVP cut from both sides a video equally
3) shrink the image slightly so that the whole thing fits

If theres anything else you need to know about my setup let me know.

Sorry, I cant think of any setting in GB-PVR that would help with this. Your TV will be capable of displaying full NTSC 720x480, but this is most likely happening because it is applying took much overscan. Hopefully you've got some settings in your TV that can adjust the amount of overscan that is being applied?

Is it still an overscan issue if I have the same problem with recordings? I guess my question is why does the TV have no problem dealing with the resolution directly but when comming from the MVP it does.

Yes, I'm guessing you'll have that same problem with anything coming from the MVP on that TV input.

Some TVs apply too much overscan on their composite/svideo inputs. Its usually only a problem experienced by a subset of CRT TVs.

Well shoot thats no fun. How about this, can something like ZProcess resize the live TV file on the hard drive or would I need to save it and then resize before playback.

Yes, that would be an option you could look at. I've never used it myself, so not really sure of its abilities, but I'm pretty sure it does this kind of stuff.

I do not believe I can make ZProcess work with LiveTV, as ZProcess is more of a transcode on the fly program.

I would need access to the livetv before it leaves for the MVP and then process it and then send the processed picture to the MVP, and TV

Right you are. I missed the "live tv" part of the comment. It'd only be possible on pre-recorded material.

If you can suggest a way for me to hook into the LiveTV MPG, and then you'd have to allow a transcoder to serve the new MPG to the MVP,.

In other words I have no idea how to intecept LiveTV. If you have ideas...?
