Weather Plugin more Icons

Is there any way that more icons could be added to the weather plugin, such as different icons for day and night, or other weather conditions that are not currently represented in icons.

I know he's talked over the last year or so about allowing the icons to be user managed, right now they are hard coded into the plugin. I wouldn't look for it anytime soon though, from posts i see from him on here lately he has a pretty full plate already.

the icons arent exactly hardcoded, you can switch the files with ones of your choice...
my current pet peve is day and night icons, or specifically "clear" since the default is stars I believe... confusing in the day time sub Wrote:Are you trying to make sure I get nothing done today?

You can change the icons that are there, just you cannot add new types. I thought you wanted to add new ones.

I have changed my icons to get rid of the night-time ones - felt it was less confusing to see a sunny icon at night than a picture of the moon during the day as it is usually daytime weather I am interested in. I've attached the icons I am currently using if you're interested - doesn't add further conditions of course.

thanks, I have found an iconset I really like, has images with the moon and the sun, I use the moon images because I usually dont see my PVR when the sun is shining:p but I am thinking of writing a script to rename the icons at sunset/sunrise... and maybe even for the moon phases if I get ambitious

I'd like to start playing around with the Weather plugin code to see if we can get Weather from weather.com or accuweather.com. I know Accuweather has a nice icon set for every possible weather condition (look at the Forecastfox plugin for Firefox).
Finding time to play with the code is the hard part
