I just setup GBPVR on my system with a Hauppauge PVR-500, whenever I go to view live tv I just get a black screen, no sound or anything. I have tried about 5 different codecs now(PureVideo, CyberLink, GPL, Dscaler, MPV) and it does the same thing every time. I have tested the card in another computer running Vista Ultimate and it works just fine. Any suggestions?

System:
P4 3 Ghz
1GB DDR400
Hauppauge PVR-500
EVGA GeForce FX 5200
Windows XP SP2

Thanks

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

tipstir - I did not use that the first time, but I just tried it, it finds the channels but I still get a black screen during the tuning(are you supposed to be able to see the channel in the tuning assistant?

sub - I have attached the gbpvr.exe-native.log

Thank you both for your help!

In that particular attempt, I can see you're using the VMR9 renderer and a Cyberlink decoder that is incompatible with VMR9.

Can you to produce another log, either where you've switched to Overlay, or another video decoder?

What version of Windows are you running?

Just switched to Overlay, here is the log.

I am running Windows XP SP2 - fresh install, completely up to date.

I'm not really sure. You might have check how things are hooked up. To do this, you'll have to download GraphEdit, and create the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\AddGraphToROT=1 (DWORD)

Then repeat the problem, and while black screen is showing, start GraphEdit, click the 'connect to remote graph' menu option to view the graph. Take a screenshot and post it here.

Does changing the audio decoder to something other than AC3filter help?

Just tried changing it, tried both the MPEG audio and Cyberlink audio, neither made any difference.
Thanks
