I have a Vista laptop I'll throw it on and see what happens. I forgot to mention that on this machine (The single core 3600+) I had to scale the video window down greatly to get smooth enough playback to see whether or not it was in sync. Running at the full resolution I miss a lot of frames so I could not tell if it was synced or not.

Tested it on Vista. Still in sync, sorry.

Annoyingly it doesnt play smoothly for me. It stutters and skips frames for me. I had the same problem with PowerDVD though.

A friend with a slower setup than me had smooth playback, so it sounds like something funny happening on my setup, but I havent really had a chance to look into what might be causing it though.

The vista laptop was a C2D T5500, 2GB PC4200 with a GeForce Go 7300. CPU was at 85-90% during playback @ 1440x900.

I'm getting 97% on my AMD X2 4600 (dual core) with nvidia 7600GS. So somethings not right.

Maybe I'll check if there are newer nvidia vista drivers than the ones I'm using.

I agree, that doesn't sound right. Sorry I can't offer you any insight but I somehow doubt that I could troubleshoot directshow issues better than you can. Smile

I do have a copy of the VC-1 reference decoder source if you don't have it and want a copy though.
