Convert your HD! dvr-ms and mpg into dvd compatible files using the avivo codecs with the atixcode.exe cmdline encoder..
If you have a modern ATI video card you already have it, comes with catalyst drivers..
other video card users can install the old avivo package, works with any video card..
Help from the executable:
to use in video library, copy the atixcode.exe to the gbpvr\third party\ dir and here's a sample customffmpegconfig line:
[atixcode.exe file usually in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI Technologies\Multimedia\]
which will convert any file you input[anything that can be read by Dshow filters] to svcd[480x480] for MVP input or just storage..
just change the /v4 to /v5 for dvd compliant files, /v6 for divx-avi, etc.
adjust the extension[.ati.mpg part] accordingly to your desired output file type..
note the psp and ipod and divx-avi output types!
the fastest encoder out there, better than realtime on most systems..
cons: only 3 quality levels, run the avivoxcode.exe to see the bitrates..
lowest [/q1] quality for dvd is 4000k and highest for sdvd is 3000k.
