Hello,

This topic seems to be covered alot so sorry to have to post but i am extremely confused after reading several forum posts and the Wiki:eek: .

I am trying to play live video from my nebula tv card (with bda driver) over to my MVP. I am however getting a black screen. I am assuming this is becasuse it is set to use the DVR-MS format.

I have nebulas tv software installed (but cannot use without the WMA drivers) but has this installed the MUX i need to view over the MVP? If so which am i supposed to select in the bda multiplex option under MIsc? Do i need to register the DLL some how?

Thanks ! Andrew

Try installing the either the ATI or a recent Cyberlink mux (see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25630), then set it to use that in the config app.

Usually you'd need to save the mux into a directory of your choose and run a command line like:

regsvr32 c:\path\to\THMpgMux.ax

Hello,

I downloaded one of those mux files (cyberlink) and ran regsvr32 c:\gbpvr\mux\ppMpgMux_5.0.0.3608_ax and received an error The module c:\gbpvr\mux\ppMpgMux_5.0.0.3608_ax was loaded but the call to dllregisterserver failed with error code 0x80070005.

Perhaps I should mention im running vista business?

You should try this from a command prompt run as 'administrator' then. If yous still get that error, try a different version of the mux. I havnt personally used 5.0.0.3608 myself.

I have been playing a little more and have noticed that live tv seems to break up, could it be that I just need to try other drivers ? or should I be looking at bandwidth issues (although i do not think it is that as gbpvr is the only app running over my LAN at the time (200mbit homeplug)

I was also thinking, could it be MVPMC that is causing the problem?

Thanks, Andrew

I always suggest GBPVR users try mvpmc only after getting used to the Hauppauge dongle so that they can answer this type of question themselves.

That is a good point Smile, I will do some testing with the standard bin file. Incidently once i get back to using mvpmc, what version should I be using, I think i just picked 0.3.3 ?

I like the idea of mvpmc as i want to get a NAS so I can play mp3 without switching the PC on Smile

I will keep the mvpmc forum up-to-date with release information. Version 0.3.3 isn't satisfactory but the current mvpmc nightly, which will become 0.3.4, will work much better with 99.12.

well I have tried the hauppage dongle and had the same results so it does not appear to be mvpmc.

If I stream live tv it stutters and then the voice is out of sync. If I do a recording and play that back it behaves the same.

If I play a video (xvid format) that I downloaded it plays fine, so I think I can assume it is not a network traffic/bandwidth issue ?
