Able to stream x264?

Hey,

I am new to gbtvr and I am considering getting a Haupp MVP to interface with it. I was just wondering if it's able to play x264? I have played with gbpvr and it plays it no problem. I know the mvp would have to transcode it to mpeg2 on the fly, I'm just wondering if it actually works? That's kind of my ultimate decision on buying one or not.

For anyone that may have done it successfully, my server is an intel core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ram. How does this compare to yours?

It'll probably work with your system, but there will always be little problems likely. Problems with ff/rw, wait 5-10 secs for it to start. Aspect ratio, etc. You might want to take look into the Zprocess-plugin. I guess you could try it out, if it transcodes faster than realtime you should be ok.
