Is ZProcess supposed to be resource hungry?

I installed Zprocess a few days ago, I love it! Especially the MAC recognition.
I notice that on my two processors (2GHz each) Zprocess uses 100% of one and ffmpeg uses 100% of the other. (ffmpeg usually behaves like this.)
Is Zprocess.exe supposed to behave this way?

ZProcess sets itself and ffmpeg into 'Below Normal' Priority during some operations, mostly Transcoding on the fly.

Still, FFmpeg, the real work horse, will use what it can get, and can go up to 100 %. But because it's in Below Normal Priority, it will play nicely with other processes.

Still to be sure, exactly what are you doing?

Just checked... ZProcess.exe is also in Below Priority but uses no CPU.... It FFmpeg, (or MEncoder, or VLC) that will grunt away...

I'm just using zprocess to resize on the fly transcoding. and it uses just as much CPU power as ffmpeg
I wonder if something isn't running right.
Even after ffmpeg finishes transcoding the avi, Zprocess will continue to be resource hungry as long as you are playing the temporary mpeg

Once the on-the-fly transcode is finished, ZProcess and ffmpeg will close, even during the MVP playing the finished file.

If after ffmpeg finishes, if ZProcess still runs, there's something wrong.

The logs look good.

Have you set the CPU priority for anything else, to be other than default?

In ZProcess, for your convenience, you can check some settings for GB-PVR.

The predelay would not affect this.

So to be clear. ZProcess/FFmpeg do transcode correctly on-the-fly and you are able to watch videos start to end no problem, BUT on the server, after the ffmpeg window disappears, ZProcess continues to chug away, while you are watching the mpeg?

Where's Hunter.exe in all of this?
When you stop watching the video (or it finishes) does ZProcess disappear then?

I just realized, dual CPU... ZProcess runs on one CPU and ffmpeg on the other.... hmmm. I have no idea what should be happeing in a case like this.

I suspect that if ZProcess is isolated, and the ffmpeg processing isn't consdiered (because it's on the other processor) then ZProcess would be clicking away every 100th of a sec checking if ffmpeg is finished. I've never seen it work like this. Because they both run at below normal, and ffmpeg needs more cpu than zprocess, zprocess has always bowed out of the way in favour of ffmpeg....

Is there a way you can force zprocess and ffmpeg to use the same processor...?
