I know this has been asked and mentioned but the more that mention it show a need.I have a 17 inch touch screen in my dining room (Central place for it) and used it for sooo much.

I have just given up using Meedio as the support to it is poor now and slow and there are many issues with .net compatibility and unfinished projects.

Also im now looking at moving PVR as well as using it for a juke box.

Before i spend hours looking in to it is it just a skin issue? or is there need for extra funtionality needing to be added to allow a skin to work with it?

TIA

um... I think that you can do most everything with a touch screen, but there will be some buttons you need, I dont think you can scroll on the menu without arrows or a mouse wheel and I am not sure about controlling music without having a play button.

sub might be able to answer exactly what functions will not be available from a touch screen, as well as what changes might be coming up that could improve that...

Sorry, there are a few things that cant be done via a touch screen. My main focus has been the remote control, but hopefully I'll improve touch screen support in a future release.

The only way I managed this on a tablet PC was to have an on-screen keyboard and use the cursor keys on it.
Now if only there was an up/down icon on some of the menus I'd be very happy as you're also a bit buggered if you only use a mouse without a scroll wheel.

Up,down, left, right and escape in a little cluster would be very nice in some future release.

I'd like to add my vote for this feature. I'll be getting a tablet PC in 3-4 months; any chance that touch screen usability will be implemented by then?

To be honest, I dont know. There are other things higher on the priority list.

I would think that plug in developers would need to upgrade their plug-ins to support this as well. It'll be nice, i use touchscreen in most rooms now for home automation and information, it would be just as easy to send the GBpvr menu there as well so i would have a once stop place for control.

I just wrote a small plugin/utility which provides some touch screen functionality. The .dll goes into GBPVR's plugins directory just like any other plugin. When GBPVR is running, click and drag the utility in order to move it.

I would greatly appreciate feedback from touch screen users.

I don't have a lot of time at the moment to test, but initially it is an awesome addition!. Well done and many thanks.

I'm sure more later - off the top of my head, double sized arrows for page up/down as well as line up/down & ctrl right/left.

magic!

1st I have no need of this, but way cool!!!
2nd how about making it a copy of the hauppauge remote's specific buttons and have it emulate those keystrokes. (the colored buttons, menu, go, skip fw/rv... make it a tiny button wnd when you tap it the fake remote pops up.
Just my 2¢. I might still have access to an old 14" tube touch screen, I might check and see if they are still laying aroung at work.
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.
