Touchscreen Compatability

I just wrote a small plugin/utility which provides some touch screen functionality. The .dll goes into GBPVR's plugins directory just like any other plugin. When GBPVR is running, click and drag the utility in order to move it.

I would greatly appreciate feedback from touch screen users.

Maybe it's me, but they sure remind me the graphics (not very nice ones) I did on the "Remote GB Plugin" project at the time (control GB-PVR over TCP connection).

1st I have no need of this, but way cool!!!
2nd how about making it a copy of the hauppauge remote's specific buttons and have it emulate those keystrokes. (the colored buttons, menu, go, skip fw/rv... make it a tiny button wnd when you tap it the fake remote pops up.
Just my 2¢. I might still have access to an old 14" tube touch screen, I might check and see if they are still laying aroung at work.

the play control buttons should popup on the screen when you move the mouse, and you should be able to click them from there

Yep, they're the same graphics that I made for the redesigned "Remote Plugin". I plan to make the plugin skinnable.

In the next version of this plugin the remote will be docked in the top-left corner in a minimized state, more buttons will be added and the plugin won't be started by an MVP instance (woops :o ).

Here's the latest iteration of the touch screen plugin. I've added channel up/down and volume up/down buttons. In additon to that, there's a button that toggles the form between translucent and opaque modes. (Unfortunately a translucent form flickers horribly over a playing video.) Finally, tapping the minimize button will send the form to the top-left corner of the screen; tapping the minimized form will restore it.

I'll include playback controls, coloured hauppauge buttons and a keypad in the next version.

That plugin looks like a good edition.

Can this be made to be callable from within a screen for thos that want to make it a permanant part of a theme/skin???
