what codec are you using. try switching to dvr-ms to eliminate any codec problems.

you say "mostly" when using timeshift. Are your recordings ok when you play them back?

if you are using vmr, try switching to overlay.

Hi there, I have a Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-T 909, new to all this so bear with me ;o) Everthing isinstalled and kinda seems o, however I cant get my TV card to tune. I go into Tuning Assistant and my card isnt listed in the dropdown box, the closest matchis the HVR 900, when I select this i get a message saying "Failed to find crossbar filter" Any idea, am I doing something stupid...?

I managed to get it working fine on mediaportal, but this SW looks far better.

Cheers.

This is a digital card, so you shouldnt use the Tuning Assistant.

When you setup you capture source, hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button instead.

you should be selecting from the bda list under recording source
then work your way down the list

Hi I allready use dvr-ms. When I watch recordings I get this fading too. Overlay not helps. Somebody in a computer shop told me that sometimes the ram of the graph may give problems.

if it also does this when watching recordings from the 3pvr-350, then I guess it probably is a graphics card problem.

Here we are back again,

new Gigabyte 7600 GS Passiv (good for make bbq) and I changed the main board too. I run a XP2400 now. Excelent speed then changing the channels with the pvr 350 but stutter then I watch the DVB-T. What now?
Wait I am just thinking maybe the positon of the antenna isn`t too good, that might cause problems with the DVB-T. I check that - but any other sugestions?

gEd Wrote:btw: A seperate tip: you need your channel names for the 350 and dvb card to be exactly the same if you want gbpvr to be able to record from either device for a channel that is common to both of them.

Can you give me more information conserning this? I not see the problem yet.

The Reason I`m asking is - the DVB-T works now without stutter - It was the position of the antenna Smile but it also was the graphs card, I had problems with the analog card too.

I still have another question, but I maybe make a diffrent thread for it. I wonder if there is a solution to turn of the pc complete writing the wakeup time in the rtc, I know there is a program called pvr schedular, but this one not supports gbpvr.

I meant that if the DVB channel says "BBC ONE" (for example), make sure you name your analogue channel as "BBC ONE" and not "BBC 1 " or "BBC1".

I am not 100% sure I understand your question but gbpvr will tell windows to wake up x minutes before the recording starts. you can configure x in the config.exe under capture settings.

then set windows power settings to make pc go into standby afer y minutes of being idle. this works for most people i think.

Well looks like I'm not like most people. I would like to turn of the pc completly.
Set the wake up time into the bios and then start for recordings from bios.
Maybe you know what I mean if you have a look at this page:
