apps, utils,games allow you to launch standard .lnk (windows shortcut files) from gbpvr.

emulators you need to specify a few things, like emulator exe, rom path, command line arguments. this allows you to have countless emulators and to launch any rom from inside gbpvr. only requirement is that the emulator must either be command line based, or allow command line switches. most emulators do allow this, so theres no real problem.

you must specify directories for your apps, utils, games and roms all of which allow sub directory so you dont have to browse through 10000 roms trying to find your favourite.

That looks realy great. And is exactly what was missing on gbpvr. The weekend will come and i will test it.

and for you tipstir if i find the time to test it with some emulators i will post the links to them here (and maybe some options if needed)

i wont posts where you can find emulators, they are illegal (well i think they are) and therefore, they are wrong . if you wish to break the law you can find out where to get "command line" / "dos" emulators yourself (its not very hard).

ScummVM - scummvm.org - plays old LucasArts games, monkey island etc (roms = zip) (args = "-f %ROM%" -f = force fullscreen).

thats all i know of now, but ill do some searching around and post more, ill keep updating this post with new ones, so can easily find them in one post. if you know one please post it.

tip:
you can add comskip to the listed emulators, and then for the args use "%ROM%" for the rom extensions use "mpg" and for the rompath use your default recording directory, or any directory containing mpeg files. that way if you havent run comskip on a few recordings you can easily do so, a popup message pops up to inform you the process is starting, it dissapears around 10 seconds later, and you can return using gbpvr, however this will not inform you that the process has finished, but other than that its a good little trick. note i didnt design my programs to use comskip, i just realized it would work, but has to go under as a emulator (only place the required fields given).

tried a reboot and didn't work. tried it on my laptop and am getting the same error. Can you tell me which log file I'm looking for specifically?

well in most cases its the gbpvr.exe.log, but since the problem is in the config, it might be in the config log. just send me every log file (not the recording service, or gbpvrtray (if you try to zip them, you'll probably get a read error since they will be being accessed via gbpvr)). so every other .log file in the gbpvr directory.  rerun gbpvr open and close, jsut to clear the log, then run the config app and try to configure it.  then send me the logs.
also can you send me your config.xml file, that might tell me what the problem is also. if you have passwords in their (not the pin numbers, but some plugins store passwords as plain text in there) remove those first, you dont want me knowing your passwords now do you.
