After i've updated the EPG and clicked the Digital Channel Mapping button it starts scanning and it picks up five ABC channels, two for Channel Ten and another one called MyTalk. Then it just freezes up when it gets to 18 of 51. For 18 of 51 it says the strength is -2190 and Quality is 89. But it wont go any further than that and i'm unable to stop it and have to ctrl alt del my way out of it. I've tried different XMLTV files and no matter what i do it always stops on SCANNING 18 of 51.

I'm from Australia and i've got a Dvico Fusion DVB-T Plus. The software that dvico provided with the card picks up all the channels and i can watch them through the dvico software with no problems. Latest drivers.

ANY help would be appreciated. Its taken me 3 days so far to get to this point and i've got no idea how to fix this one. I didnt think this would be so difficult.

Its not a fix, but as a temporary work around, you could try editing "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-T\0141.ini" and set the following

18=C36,100000,0,0,7

This will effectively force it to skip 18. If that doesnt help, try editing the "19=" line to the same thing (it might be 19 that is the cause).

thanks for the quick reply. i changed 18= and it skipped over it. but then i had to do the same thing again for 29, 44, 47 and 50. each time it freezes up it has a negative strength for some reason. it will say the quality is about 90 or something though.

now it gets to the end of the scan and i can assign the channels. it did crash on me though when i did that. now when i go to watch tv it just shows a black screen and thats it. looks like it is really messed up. Sad

help?

I'm not really sure what might cause that, but zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
