Sorry to resurrect this but I have the same problem and would like to stick with GBPVR if possible.
I have a Hauppauge HVR900 - configured as BDA Recording Plugin, DVB EPG Broadcast - tuned it in getting lots of channels on preview during scan but when I try to watch live TV I get nothing, it is just blank.

I notice you machine is using the Ligos audio decoder, which has caused problems for several users in the past. I'd try getting that decoder out of the equation.
Its also best to explicitly select the audio/video decoder rather than using 'system default' which tells Windows to pick some random decoder, like this Ligos one.
