Boy did you confuse me!!!!Smile I logged on, saw the post that you would like to see my logs, and while in the process of creating them I accidently deleted your patch program. So back to post #44 and downloaded it again, and ran it and low and behold I had listings with correct times !!!! Thought I was nuts!!!. Came back here and saw your post to redownload the patch!!!!. Pretty funny Big Grin Big Grin

Anyway all is good here......Thanks........Robert

LOL

Yea it's been a really strange day here too!
Tested a new patch build, uploaded the wrong one, uploaded the correct one (I hope I did, it doesn’t matter anyway because I'm calling it a night and having a cold one,,, Pepsi) Big Grin
seriously, I'm pretty sure a working patch is in post 44 now. Unless you have duplicate channels.

Remember, the download utility is only in the testing stages of developement and I just wrote the patch to isolate and verify needed fixes to the main utiltiy. Just trying to save -Oz- some debug time more than anything else.
The patch also allows people to load the epg data, look at it in the guide, and make suggestions on what needs to be changed (like the channel numbers).

I doubt the patch will be needed with the next version so I'm not going to spend a bunch of time adding features to it.

I Know, just posting my findings.

Seems to happen with any zip I put in. It appears to attempt to do something, but errors out after a few seconds.

(Feeling like Pigpen in Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin, "I got a rock..." Bleahhh!)

Tried on another machine (W2k3 server as my PVR is out of commission while I replace my vid card) and while it works and finds my cable provider, it only shows 77 of the channels - I have well over 150-160. Also it doesn't show any of the premiums, and a few of the channels it shows (like HBO on channel 16 and HBO2 on 17) have been removed for well over a year now.

This would make Y2Go a Y2no-go for me Wink

do a view source for a semi-decent format.

Where on Yahoo can we find info about this API?

Thanks,

I tried with my provider and it does not find all channels as well, however, if you try dish network or directTV it will likely have them all.

Then I was thinking a .csv file input that has a list of channel cross references - where the utility a) translates a channel number from one provider to another if found and b) deletes shows and channel data if no translation found would be very helpful. It could be within the main plug-in or an additional step. (DISH listings are 50 meg !!)

I can right as an add-on if Oz doesn't want to add the functionality in-line.

When I issue a mode=tv_provider I get a list of channels for a given provider.

The second parameter is a 5 digit code. Is this a universal ID to that channel? In other words, could I use that as a unique key in a database that would "span" different providers (if they both reported the same number)?

Thanks for the great program. I'm a bit new to all this, but I think I have it all setup, and I'm having a couple of problems.

I've got the patched xml loaded into GBPVR, but it's displaying all of my channels it can several times (ABCD...ABDC.... Some of those times display the listings, others don't. In particular the first group of channels in the guide (presumably the real ones) are missing the listings for many stations. When I click watch on stations in that first group that do have listsings, I get the properly listed program. In later sets of channles, it has either all of the listsings, or none of them, but when I click "watch" I get static.

The zip is 70002 - Cox Cable

I'm sure I've screwed something up here, but any help would be appricated.

Log file from when I last updated, I'm happy to add the xml file if desired...

Just something to keep in mind for you guys writing xmltv grabbers... If the channel specifies the icon tag, then GB-PVR will automatically download it into the channel icon cache. If the source data has a URL for this, it might be a good idea to add this.

This occurs to me also using Whulstons' app. If I manually go thru the browser using the urls posted elsewhere I get the same listings. However, if I add the "device=X", then I get ALL digital channels listings for my cable company.

It looks like this is the problem that many are encountering, the "device=X" is apparently not getting sent correctly.
