I've gone as far as uninstalling my card and wiped everything from the registry using the instructions for uninstall from here: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=10830.0

In the quoted thread at shspvr there is a reference to Hauppauge "moving over to new WinTV2000 Hybrid software"

Has anyone tried this WinTV2000 Hybrid software? (See also SHSPVR List) I'm getting some sync, but not timeline problems of late. I currently use 2.0.48.25037 from the SHS Site linked by donschjr above.

I thought the "hybrid" wintv2000 was just so that it worked with analogue and digital devices??. I may be wrong, but that was what I installed to get my pvr150 and nova-t-500 running.

I don't get any timestamp issues on the pvr150, but they are driving me mad at times onthe DVB-T side. I suspect the broadcaster as it seems to be mainly just a single channel. i.e. skip forward goes too far and skip backwards moves forwards, but not as much. It's not stuff I keep, just record, find a gap and play it and delete it.
currently on 2.0.48.24227 - I don;t like changing unless there is a compelling need Wink

I recently upgraded from XP to MCE and started having what seems like the Timestamp issue. I have two 150s and it seems to happen on both recordings when there have been concurrent recordings. I'm using 2.0.48.25037.

A Re-Time (using various techniques) didn't fix the issue.

After the upgrade I also reinstalled the driver just in case.

Anyone hear of something like this? Maybe it's my video driver or codecs...

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

I had a couple recordings with the latest driver that seemed to suffer from the timestamp issue. Full recording was there, time showed only 40 minutes of the 60. I installed the two registry tweaks and no problems yet. Not sure if the tweaks did anything or not, but it didn't hurt.

I am sure they did.....without them you can be subject to the timestamp bug from hell.......

i just installed the newest drivers [yesterday] and after a couple recordings, i noticed the timestamp issue...classic case...
so i figured the hcwclear erased my reg entries so i re-applied them..
and without rebooting the next recording was fine...i have 3 more setup in a row so i'll see how they go...

for all adjustments to the drivers i see immediate results, like say with the hauppauge tweaker...they are immediate if you use the proc-amp area to change things...all it does is set the registry...and the driver registry settings are reloaded each time the card is cranked up..so i have been using the registry instead to change settings...
only the noise reduction seems to need a reboot..
changing bitrates, color/sharpness/audio works on next view of livetv..
only thing you have to do is not have the tuner active at the time of applying the reg file..Smile

but i'd still recommend rebooting if you can...
i just have several recordings setup in a row right now and just noticed it on the first one..
will let you know how it goes...

EDIT: nope, next recording worked, but one after that didn't..fickle prob...

so to confirm, ver. 2.0.48.24227 needs the timestamp reg settings...

Are you talking about drivers from the Hauppauge web page or SHS ?

DANG this is a dead thread Sad

Just a quick comment; possibly related. I've been suffering symptoms that resembled a timestamp issue, but probably wasn't... when viewing recordings on my tv via Media Sharing in Media Player, I was getting short show durations; often zero length. The shows were all there. It turns out, that if I remove them from the Media Player Library, and add them back in, the problem goes away. It seems that Media Player must derive inaccurate information about the recording, as it's being recorded, then not update it when it's finished.

Just thought I'd post this, in case other people are seeing something like it.

all of the sudden this started for me. I'm on driver version 2.0.48.24227. I ran debugvwr and it displayed TimeStampIssue2. So i applied the alternate timeshift issue 2.reg file from the wiki. and this DID NOT resolve my issue.

so I ran hcwclear, reinstalled the drivers from scratch, reran the reg file, all for the second time and I still get the timeline issue but it doesn't appear in the debugvwr anymore.

Any one have an idea on this.

TIA
Mark.
