Well anyway, I've released a version of ZProcess2 that should work well for NTSC people for the moment. PAL Math coming soon...
To reiterate here's what you need...
MVP in 16x9 mode (use Hauppauge software)
Install ZProcess. Follow instructions here...
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...ocess#toc3
Copy the two files in THIS zip to the ZProcess folder...
Run ZProcess.
Run ZProcess2
Now, when you select an AVI on the MVP, ZProcess will prepare and calculate what needs to be done and then launch MEncoder with the correct parameters...
If it's a 4x3 AVI, it will be a 720x480 MPG with the 4x3 Aspect Ratio switch set. This should tell your TV that it should Pillar Box the video...
If it's a letterbox, it will be a 720x480 MPG with the 16x9 Aspect Ratio switch set. This should tell your TV that it should Full Screen your video
If its a 2.35:1 video (wide screen movie like Star Wars), it will be a 720x480 MPG with the 16x9 Aspect Ratio switch set. This should tell your TV that it should Full Screen your video. But there will still be Top and bottom padding. The Movie will appear as letterbox
I hope this works with your TV OK...
