ZTools: Won't Transcode for MVP

I just reinstalled Windows XP and the latest version of GBPVR. I have FFDShow, the Haali MP4 Splitter, and Mencoder installed, and that's about it. Without using ZTools, GBPVR will correctly play both AVI and MP4 encoded video files on my MediaMVP. The problem of course is that most of my video is 16:9 and the aspect ratio of my TV is 4:3.

Once I install ZTools, neither AVIs nor MP4s will play on my MVP. ZTools will transcode the files manually to the TEMP folder, but it won't transcode for the MVP; it just crashes every time. I've followed the instructions in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=34303 to resolve this problem but nothing helped. My computer transcodes at about 108 fps using ffmpeg.

Update: For what it's worth, I went back to an older version of GBPVR and the original ZProcess. It works perfectly, but I'm unable to upgrade. What does Ztools do differently? Why would ZProcess1 work on my MVP but not ZTools?

Well, it seems like you are having the same problem as discussed in the other thread.

There is a small possibility that the newest GB-PVR is doiong something slightly different, but it works fine for me.

The technique for interfacing ZProcess and GB-PVR has been the same for a long while in both versions of ZProcess.

Try again, this time running the 'remove zprocess settings'.bat and then using the defaults.

If you still have trouble, please send your regsettings.txt file and I might be able to see if you are using a setting that is not quite right
