The non-"MCE" versions (also known as "retail" versions) come with a remote. Some of the PVR-150MCE devices are sold in "kit" form, which means they come with an MCE remote.

Alternatively, you can can add an MCE remote - or a few other types, but this is the most widely used remote.

You can also use any remote you already have if it has software or config files that can be configured to send keystokes to the foreground app. Lots of remotes can do this.

pvr 150
and buy the mce remote seperate if you have to
they are like cheap as
work well as in they send a good beam very forgiving as to what direction you point it
the button light up and they feel nice as in the buttons are in the right places
and i reckon if you are only going to use it for gbpvr and tv its the best remote
easy to use and the comes with a sender if you have set top box

Yeah, the 550 Pro cards are decent, but the remote your end up with depends exactly which one manufactures model you get (for example MSI 550 pro remote is not compatible with GB-PVR, Sapphire 550 pro comes with an MCE like remote but a few extra buttons that dont do anything in GB-PVR, actual ATI branded 550 pro comes with ATI remote wonder(?) that can be used with some plugins described in posts on the forums).

The video quality is very similiar to the PVR150, but the audio bitrate cant be changed on the 550s. Also I'm not sure if ATI updated the drivers to fix problems often or not.

The 550s were replaced with the 650s. PVR150s are still a current model.
