I have the 1.08 software installed with the freecom BDA drivers on windows XP SP2. 2GHz AthlonXP with 512MB Ram. I'm using a decent aerial rather than the twig that supplied with the USB stick.
The basic software is working fine with smooth video and recording is fine. Mostly far better than the software that came with the hardware.
However I have a couple of issues whcih I do need to resolve:
1) When I change channels it takes what seems like ages. A good 5-10 seconds. With the freecom software this was less than a second.
2) I don't seem to be able to get the built in EPG to work at all. The XMLTV plug in works fine, but I also want to be able to install this on the laptop and use when I don't have an internet connection, so getting the built in EPG would be really helpful. Basically, it takes up to a minute to get down to the 1% remaining and them seems to stick there.
I'm not sure whether this is all related to the BDA drivers as the scan for channels took quite a long time as well in comparison to the freecom software. What experience are other people having with the freecom USB stick? Channel changes and built in EPG OK?
Anyone any suggestions for mods to make?
