The older plugins are somewhat "iffy" right now. I only have had time to convert and test a handful. Older "Legacy" plugins need to be copied into a sub-folder under "\gbpvr\plugins\". You can copy all old plugins under something like "\gbpvr\plugins\legacy\" and that should work for you.

Is there any easy way to edit the TV-Guide Popup in Live TV? I have two problem in our configuration:

1. We have three digit satellite TV channel numbers and the channel number field wraps at two digits

2. The program description is sometimes too long for the available field and it also wraps resulting a a two line display that overlaps the ltiem above and below. For example I just saw a program "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (14 Min)" and it wrapped between the program and the time remaining info.

There appears to be plenty of room to modify the field lengths --- how would I go about do this? I installed the Skin Plugin but it does not allow changes to the Popup TV-Guide fields lengths.

I'll check into it and fix it for the next release (was planned for today, but may get pushed back for some additional features until Wednesday at latest).

That xml file would be found under "gbpvr\skin2\community3\osd\".

Looking into your problem, is it possible you can post a screen shot so I can see exactly what you are talking about?

I think it is the "NowShowingPopup.xml" in the Popups directory.

Herewith. Partial screengrab --- the problem is obvious in the item for "Channel 258 FMC"

Ok, I just installed the updated CS3.0.1 and SkinPlugin and now the skin plugin button on the main menu is missing, yet I confirmed the skin plugin is still checked in the Plugins menu on the config.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
I'm having similar problems with the Community Skin 2.2.0 when upgrading from GBPVR96.12 to GBPVR1.0.16. This wasn't a very smooth upgrade for me. I followed the instructions for upgrading, but I kept having NullReferenceException errors with the Config tool even after installing NET2.0 and the C++ Runtime Components. After numerous clean installs, I finally got GBPVR working, but I still cannot get the Community Skin to fully work. When I first install the Community Skin, it asks if I want to make it the default. I click 'yes' and GBPVR comes up with the Community Skin. HOWEVER! When I go into the Config tool, all I see is a blank entry and 'Blue'. As soon as I exit the Config tool, the skin defaults back to Blue and I can never select the Community Skin again. The only way to get back to the community skin is to run the install again. I don't want to have to do this every time I open the Config tool. I've tried loading other skins as well (ie. sassari and sarrari_red) , but they don't show up in Config either.
Can anybody help? Do you think this is an install, GBPVR, or Skin problem? Which event logs can I should post?
Thanks
JC
