Is the live tv file in the recordings directory still growing?

Try selecting a nother MPEG2 decoder, it may help.

You dont need to uninstal WinTV. Is the live tv file in the recordings directory still growing?

When you try to view livetv, GB-PVR starts writing a file call "livetv-x-x.mpg" into your configured recordings directory. Can you see this file, and is it growing?

Install WinTV, GB-PVR needs the MPEG2 decoder that get installed with it.

At this stage I'm trying to determine whether your recording is freezing, or if its your playback.

If the file stops growing, you've likely got driver problems. This would indicate the PVR USB2 has unexpectedly stop producing MPEG data.

If the file is still growing, you've likely got MPEG codec problems, and should try other MPEG2 decoders (other than the "System default&quotWink.
